Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math, and Design

Three-day public event highlighting graduating students’ work throughout ÈËÃñ¹Ï±¨â€™s Bill & Leila Cilker School Art & Design and the School of Math & Science.

Location/Buildings: Cilker School of Art & Design, Science & Math, Planetarium, Visual Arts Building, & WVC Performing Arts Building.

Thursday, May 15

The WVC Film Club is hosting a student-led Film Festival in conjunction with the Cilker Art & Design EXPO on Thursday, May 15 from 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM in WVC's Studio Theater (MU-12). The festival will feature shorts by West Valley students and club members as well as a few of our best alumni films "from the archives." Popcorn and refreshments will be served - Join us for the fun!

Friday, May 16

Night two, May 16 is the main event! Featuring student work, our annual fashion show with creative direction by Simon Ungless & Content Magazine’s Pick-Up Party 17.3 “Perform." Content Magazine’s issue features several of our art students and faculty. The evening begins at 7:00 PM followed by the Fashion Show at 8:30 PM and a designer meet and greet an live music set by Ambervox to follow.

Experience an unforgettable evening of music and ambiance at Jazz Under the Stars on Thursday, May 15 at 6:00 PM in the Jean and E. Floyd Kvamme Planetarium. Set beneath the simulated night sky, this unique event combines the smooth sounds of live jazz with a breathtaking backdrop, offering a relaxing and inspiring way to begin Science and Math’s 2 nd Annual STEM Expo. This special performance promises a perfect blend of art and science in an immersive setting

Join us for an exciting afternoon of discovery at the STEM Expo where visitors of all ages can explore the wonders of science, technology, engineering, and math through a wide range of engaging activities. Enjoy interactive exhibits in the Science and Math Courtyard, challenge yourself with climate-themed games at the Climate Carnival, and take a self-guided tour through the beautiful Science Gardens. Hear from inspiring Stanford graduate students, immerse yourself in our planetarium, and learn from student-led demonstrations during our Science in Action showcase. There’s something for everyone at this hands-on celebration of STEM!
